I have several people contact me for psychic readings.  These are not the same as medium-ship readings.   I understand the desire for answers to the problems most everyone is dealing with.  From questions about the economy and surviving the mortgage crisis to wondering if loved ones in the military will soon be home safe.

Last summer, someone close to me was in a new romance.  She asked me about his feelings and if they were genuine and if and how things would evolve into something serious.  By using my psychic gifts, I saw what he was going to do and I gave her highlights of what I saw happening over the next several months.  I even wrote most of it down for her so when she arrived at certain points in the relationship and began to question his feelings or actions; she would know why he acted a certain way and how it would resolve.  I also saw that around her birthday, he was going to make a commitment to her.

For several months, every situation evolved as I foretold.  Finally..the plans were set, a long special birthday weekend get away and at the last moment….?   He changed his mind, cancelled the weekend plans and broke off the relationship.

What?  I was as shocked as she was.  What went wrong and why did he change his mind?

And in questioning the results, why didn’t I see this coming?

Psychic gifts are a wonderful thing, but people have to keep in mind that no one can control events, people or free will.  In other words, when I saw the situation, I saw him making a right turn in the relationship and at the last moment, he turned left.  Everyone has free will and therefore what I saw happening in April was his intention at that time, but at the last moment and for whatever reason, he took a different path.

The above situation is the main reason why I choose not to do psychic readings.  Some people are unable to look at the reading with an open mind and the perspective that it can all change completely with free will and in a blink, the situation is different than what you expected and what you were told by the psychic.  Many people cannot separate prediction from fact.  Sometimes, if you are trying to connect with a loved one in spirit, they may give guidance to certain situations in your life, but most of the time, they acknowledge what you are going through and either tell you that things will be ok or that you are in for a change, but they do not interfere with free will.

I have heard many horror stories of psychic frauds who have gotten wealthy off unsuspecting people who go to them in good faith, looking for answers and in their moments of desperation, pay out hundreds, even thousands of dollars for a reading that is not only generic at best, but gives false information.  Sometimes the information can be frightening when these psychic frauds tell people that a horrible curse has been put on them but for thousands of dollars, the psychic will be happy to remove the curse for them.   This kind of hocus pocus crap is the main reason that it took me so many years to “come out” so to speak.  I know the stigma and the images people get when they hear the word psychic.

I have even seen these frauds go into their act by changing their voice during a reading and wearing clothing and jewelry that you would expect a fortune teller or some mystical person to wear.  They worry more about having a psychic image than having a legitimate gift.

There are a few bookstores in our area which allow metaphysical workshops and readings by psychics.  Some are stand alone bookstores and others have coffee shops inside with a quiet place to read or meditate.

As I sipped my coffee and browsed the shelves for a particular book, I overheard one of the psychics giving a reading to a young woman.  I was not only surprised at the information she was receiving, but was sickened by what I knew to be absolute garbage and lies given to this young innocent woman.  The ego of the psychic had taken over.

We made eye contact and I gave my best eye roll and look of disgust in order to let the psychic know that I had overheard the crap being served.  I so badly wanted to interrupt the reading and tell her not to believe what she was being told, but instead I shook my head and walked away and vowed not to return until changes were made in the psychic staff and until the energy shifted to that of a place of healing.

So I guess the point I am trying to make (which has turned into a much longer story than I had anticipated,) is that if you are looking for a psychic reading, make sure to check references or find a person who you can trust who has had a reading by them.  Make sure that the psychic is legitimate before spending your money and always, always remember that no matter what a psychic may tell you, FREE WILL can change the outcome of any situation predicted.
