Larimar

May 12, 2011
Larimar is a soft, sky-blue, Caribbean healing stone.  Larimar brings tranquility of sea and air. Soothes fear, depression, pain. Helps with self-expression, patience, acceptance, simplicity and is a great stone for artists.  Especially helps with creativity.

A cooling stone, it draws out inflammation, fevers, sunburn and heat. Very good for the Throat Chakra. Helps shoulder, thyroid, and nose.  Pleasantly uplifts the heart and eases stress.

This stone can be used in the Northeast for self-cultivation, knowledge and wisdom. Also use in the Center area for health, balance and centeredness.

Larimar is an extremely rare gemstone that has been found in only one location: in a mountainous, relatively inaccessible region of the Dominican Republic overlooking the Caribbean Sea. This gemstone first surfaced in 1974, although the inhabitants of the region and their ancestors have long been aware of the stone. Legend has it that they used to simply collect these stones on the beach, but one day they couldn't find anymore. They went to explore upstream, and came upon a rock formation that seemed to be the source of this blue precious stone. The name Larimar was given to the stone by a Dominican, Miguel Mendez, who combined his daughter's name LARIssa, with MAR, the Spanish word for sea

Children seeing spirit

May 2, 2011
It is true that most children can see those in spirit.  Some carry the ability with them throughout their lives and others become immune to the visions around the age of 5 as society tells them that their "imaginary friend" is simply that.. .imagined.
I have had many experiences with this, even with members of my own family.  You can learn a lot by sitting back and observing the children, even babies.
Many times, parents will assume their baby is just looking at a light or a ceiling fan, howeve...

April 16, 2011

We all know someone who lives their life as a victim.  It can be a family member, friend, or coworker.

I have known so many people who want to place blame on others for their own life situations.  I mean, after all, isn’t it easier to blame someone else instead of taking responsibility for your own actions?   People do not want to admit that they make bad decisions, act inappropriately or cause drama, so they blame everyone else for their disappointments and misfortunes.

I have hea...

Charging your crystals

February 24, 2011

During a full moon is one of the best times to charge your crystals. Put them in a place where the moonlight will be upon them.
You should clean them about once a week with the exception of citrine which is a self cleaning stone.
To clean them of negative energy, simply hold them under running water for about a minute. Or you can put them on top of a bowl of tumbled hematite for a couple of days.
