A Messenger

January 10, 2014

Every once in awhile I get comments on my facebook page or hate emails telling me that my ability isn’t a gift but rather the workings of Satan.

I knew when I decided to come out of the psychic closet that I would get blasted every now and then by those who like to call themselves Christians and choose to quote the bible and use every opportunity to pass judgment on another.

First and foremost, I am a Christian.  I am very well aware of what the bible says about Mediums, fortune tellers and conjuring the dead. If you think that I have not struggled with this, you are wrong.

I have spent more than enough time worrying about what other people will think of me and the condemnation I will get from those who do not have the ability to see things from a higher perspective.

I spent many hours in prayer before I made my decision to move forward with this.  I knew I would lose friends and even cause relatives to distance themselves. I knew that my decision also had an effect on my immediate family because those who like to pass judgment will do so to those close to me as well.    However, the most important part of my decision wasn’t losing friends or upsetting family but whether or not using my gift was going against God.

Most of those who judge me do so because they do not understand the ability in the first place.  I do not conjure the souls. When someone asks me for a reading, I know rather quickly whether or not I am able to do so because in most cases, the souls connected to them have already tried to communicate with me.

Some people believe that Satan instruments all the communication and that he pretends to be the loved ones relative only to deceive me and the person I am reading.  I realize it isn’t easy for people to understand.  The argument could go on forever with those who think I am just an idiot who doesn’t realize I am dealing with the devil while I argue that those with my gift are harder to fool because we have a greater understanding of how it works lol

A genuine Medium works with the light and love of God and is able to identify dark forces.  We work from a higher consciousness and are able to see, feel and “know” things that others cannot.  Also, the souls from the light allow me to feel the love they have for the person I am reading.  It is indescribable.  There are no words in existence to give an accurate description of its intensity.  It is not something that can be mocked or imitated and it is unlike anything I have ever experienced at any other time in my life.  I know how much I love my family and how much I love God.  But the love from the other side is so much… “more”.  It’s more than the human brain and heart can even comprehend because anything we have to compare it to, is also human.  Nothing comes close to its enormity and power.   I always knew I was loved by my Dad and Grandmother, but until they allowed me to feel their love for me, I never could have imagined how much I am loved.   Even Satan isn’t capable of faking this.  Love always wins.

I am aware that there are people with this ability who use it for the wrong reasons and in ways that can hurt others.  Those who claim to be Mediums who might actually have some psychic ability, but they can take advantage of people and situations and manipulate, exploit and create fear.

With that said, please allow me to explain how my gift works and why I believe God not only approves of my ability but that he gave it to me in the first place.

First of all, I cannot “shut it off”.  No matter what is going on in my own life, there are times when I have tried to ignore the souls and guides and turn off my intuitive medium "switch".   It doesn’t work that way.

One afternoon my Mother and I were headed to a resort for a few days where I was going to be working as a vendor at a convention.  The weather was good despite the fact that there was a chance of snow and freezing temperatures.  We were on a two lane highway which was pretty desolate with little traffic in either direction.  As we were nearing the halfway point in our destination, I heard my Fathers voice say “Take your foot off the gas”.  I knew it was my Dad and I immediately did as he said.  Within 3 or 4 seconds of doing so, a coyote ran out in front of my car at an incredible speed as he crossed the road directly in my path.  He was inches from my car.  If I had not taken my foot off the gas, he would have hit my car on the passenger side, causing what could have been a horrific accident and injuring if not killing my Mother.

On another drive to visit a friend who was dying of cancer, a similar situation occurred.  Again, my Mother was with me as we headed up the canyon where it had snowed earlier but the roads appeared to be dry and in good shape.  As we started up one of the larger hills there was a Ford explorer in front of me which was going rather slow.  I checked the rearview and side mirrors and decided to pull out around to pass him when I heard “No..don’t do that”.   This time, it was my Grandmothers voice.  I pulled back and slowed down and remained in the lane I had been in.  Less than 30 seconds later, a car traveling in the opposite direction hit a patch of ice and at full speed he was like a ball in a pinball machine, hitting one car after another, slamming back and forth across the road from one side to another until he hit the Explorer in front of me which caused him to go up in the air and headed right for us.  I immediately drove off the road and into a snow bank to get out of his way.  His car landed on the road just inches behind my car. If I had not been paying attention and moved out of his way, he would have landed right on top of us. If I had passed the Explorer, it would have been us he hit.   The driver was trapped in his car, so we had to wait about an hour for rescue workers to use the Jaws of Life to extract him and then move what was left of his car so that the police could help push us out of the snow bank and back on the road.  These are two similar situations where my gift helped keep us safe.  But there are many other situations where my gift has done something good.

Not long ago, I got a call from one of my best friends who lives on the opposite side of the country.   His Father had passed about a year earlier and before his passing he had given a ring to my friend’s teenage daughter.  The call came because she had lost the ring and she was crying and devastated to think it was gone.  I had never thought of my gift being able to locate missing objects, but I was able to tell him where to look because I saw her put it in her pocket and I knew it had fallen out and was in a pile of clothes on the floor.  They located the ring.  Crisis averted.  Unfortunately this does not work in all cases, as I currently cannot locate a necklace my husband gave me for Christmas and it also doesn’t work on lottery numbers lol.  Trust me… I have tried. lol

Last week, a friend asked me to do a reading for someone she knew who was in town for a few days.  Because of my schedule, I was unable to do it but I left myself open in case her loved one tried to communicate with me to at least give her a message.  If the souls do not feel the timing is right, they will not come through no matter how badly we want to hear from them.   However, while I was doing my daily routine, I received a communication from my friends Father in law in spirit.  He was concerned about his wife and said that he sees her isolating herself and he is trying to comfort her but she doesn’t seem to feel him around her.  So he asked me to get the message to her, that he is there with her and he is aware of what is going on in her life.  He gave me more details and I was able to contact my friend and have her relay the information to her Mother in law who lives out of state.

She was able to validate what he said was happening and it was comforting to her to know he is near her and aware of what is going on in her life.  Again, my gift was able to bring someone peace.

I have a friend who I have known for several years and although we don’t spend much time talking, he is someone I adore.  I saw him not long ago at an event and the moment I saw him, I saw the colors in his aura and heard the voice of one of his relatives in spirit.  They told me that he wasn’t taking care of his health.  He was drinking too much and they were concerned for his physical and emotional well being.

Talk about putting me in a difficult situation.  After the event, I prayed about what I had been given for him.  I wanted to make sure that I was doing the right thing by telling him.   I got a very clear response that by being given this gift that I am a “messenger”, I did indeed need to tell him.  I called him and told him what I had been shown by the souls.  This friend is also a skeptic when it comes to anything regarding the afterlife and the ability to communicate with the souls.  However, he has since made some positive changes in his life and recently told me his health is improving.

This is how my gift works.  This is the type of messages I receive and these things happen on a daily basis and for different people.   So for those who believe this all comes from Satan and his dark forces, please tell me how any of this serves Satan?   Does any of this really feel evil to you?   This isn’t fortune telling and I am not sitting with a Ouija board in a dark room trying to tilt a table or telling you what to do in your life.  I am not saying that the bible is wrong, but it was written and interpreted by Man with a human understanding of it.  There is a difference between fortune telling and Mediums who call upon the souls, versus a person with a gift whose intentions are to bring peace and healing and to ease suffering.  I lost my best friend of more than 35 years because she believes my ability is the work of Satan and as much as that hurts me, it is a sacrifice I had to accept in order to speak what I know is truth.  It is my hope that she and others who view this from a perspective of darkness, someday see the light of all the good that I have done.

Satan is all about hate, pain and destruction, fear and turmoil.  He isn’t about love or saving a life or bringing peace to someone who is in pain and struggling.  Nothing I do with my gift would serve him and none of the messages I receive would serve him, but rather the opposite.  They serve God by spreading love and faith and peace and proof that life continues after death.  Keep your heart open.

I Corinthians 12:8-11

"To one person the Spirit gives the ability to give wise advice; to another he gives the gift of special knowledge. He gives special faith to another and to someone else the power to heal the sick.  He gives one person the power to perform miracles, and to another the ability to prophesy.  He gives someone else the ability to know whether it is really the Spirit of God or another spirit that is speaking.  Still another is given the ability to speak in unknown languages and another is given the ability to interpret what is being said.  It is the one and only Holy Spirit who distributes these gifts.  He alone decides which gift each person should have."

The faces of Orbs

September 22, 2013

Most everyone has come across a photograph they have taken only to find a round, sometimes bright, ball or sphere somewhere in it.  For years I thought they were a water mark or a reflection of some kind. Until I learned more about my gift, I didn’t realize that this ball of light or color is the energy of a spirit.

Several years ago I began taking photos while trying to communicate with the spirits around me.  Sometimes I know who is near and other times, I just feel a presence an...

Giving Messages

September 9, 2013

A conversation came up not long ago after some friends of mine were watching a television show called Long Island Medium.  It is based on the daily life of a Medium named Theresa Caputo.

I have never met Theresa but I have watched her show and I do feel that she is very gifted.  Some are put off by her but I believe that is more because of her blunt personality than because of her gift.

The editing of a television show can make it appear that a Medium is always correct in their me...

Tearing down the walls

August 25, 2013

Not long ago I received an email from a former co-worker informing me that a building I had worked in for over 20 years was being torn down.  The email included a photo of the destruction that had begun.

I immediately had a labyrinth of mixed emotions.  I was happy that I was free from that place and yet felt a twinge of sadness at the same time.

I hadn’t been inside the building since I quit my job about 5 years ago.  I was so happy to leave.  I was starting a new life, the life I...

Determination

June 8, 2013

When the Souls want to be heard, they will find a way to get through.

I will change the names in this story as to protect privacy.

One evening about two years ago, a Medium friend of mine called to catch up.  While during our conversation he asked me who Ted and Sara are.  I told him that I didn’t know anyone by those names.  He told me that a man in Spirit named Ted was trying to reach me and that he was insistent that I listen.  He said I had been ignoring his attempts to connect to me....

Receiving information

May 4, 2013

Each Medium receives messages in their own way according to their individual ability.  I am able to receive messages by clairaudience (clear hearing), clairambiance (clear smelling) clairgustance (clear tasting… definitely not my favorite of the abilities) but my strongest gifts are by clairvoyance (clear seeing) clairsentience (clear feeling) and claircognizance (clear knowing). I am also clairtangent which means I can hold an object and connect to the emotions of the person it bel...

Rambling

April 30, 2013

It’s been quite some time since I have blogged.  I have had a strange year and a half and I’ve spent all of it focused on my family.

For awhile now I have thought about writing and I wondered what topics to mention and at times I felt that nothing I had to say was anything anyone would want to read, besides the fact that I tend to ramble and end up off subject lol.
So again I put it off.

This morning while going about my daily chores, the thought crossed my mind again and thi...

Residual Energy

Residual energy

Everyone handles grief in their own way.  Some people find it easier to donate the belongings of their loved ones soon after they pass.  Others hang on to them for years, even keeping their clothes in the closet long after they have passed.

There is no right or wrong way. It’s whatever feels best for you.  However, it is suggested by many grief counselors that it is best not to make any major decisions, such as selling a home or moving to another place, for ...

Forgiveness

December 20, 2011

Forgiveness…. Yes.. that thing we are all suppose to do in order to achieve access to the kingdom of God.  Well I am sorry to say that I am a work in progress.

I know I have wronged others in the past. None of us are perfect.  But I have tried to think of all those who I might have offended or hurt and apologize to them. And above all, to make sure I never hurt them again.

But there are those people in our lives who have done us wrong and we forgive them, only to have them do it a...

"tears"

November 19, 2011

“I heard my tear hit the pillow before I even realized I was crying”.

I read that comment the other day and thought how perfectly it resonated with me.

My Dad passed over 7 years ago and although they say it gets easier over time, I don’t believe that to be true.  I think we learn how to handle our grief in whatever way we can, but I don’t believe that the pain and emptiness ever really gets better.

We each eventually find that “place”.  It’s almost a saf...
