Keeping it real
I am often contacted by people who believe they have a poltergeist or some demonic presence in their home or office. They often ask me to visit their home and tell them what I see and feel.
Unfortunately, as much as I would like to help them, I won’t.
When I made the decision to go public with my ability I also had to decide what my boundaries were when offering my services to help others.
There is an enormous amount of responsibility that comes with being given this gift. I know there are many Mediums who are more than happy to delve into this area, but I choose not to.
I can make suggestions or refer a person to another Medium who can help them, but I do not get involved with any negative or dark energies. Again, it is my choice and one that I made long ago.
When doing a reading, I have no control over what souls come along with the person I am helping.
Therefore, I do not do in person readings in my home. I not only choose to protect myself, but also my home and my family.
I work only in love and light and I do not have any desire to confront or be confronted by negative forces. I don’t care how much money you offer me, I won’t go there. I choose to use my gift for healing.
I am not discrediting those Mediums who choose to get involved with this; I am just saying that I am not going to be one of them. In all the readings and conversations I have had with my clients, I have luckily never been confronted with anything dark or negative.
With that being said, I would like to mention that there are some situations where I am contacted by a concerned parent who feels something unwanted or uninvited around their child. It has been my experience that the majority of the time, this is not anything negative but rather the perception of something negative.
Most children are able to see spirit up until the age of 6. After that age, it is often dismissed as imagination and therefore ignored by the child. From my own experience, being a child and seeing anything that the rest of my family didn’t see can be pretty scary.
With that said when a child is seeing a person or shadow that no one else in the room can see, it immediately is perceived as something bad. That is seldom, and I repeat, seldom the case. But if the child is scared, its normal for the parent to believe it’s something mean or threatening. They just want to protect their child.
I have had experience with children seeing a “shadow person” or “shadow man”. We each have visitors around us but as adults we are quick to dismiss what we just saw out of the corner of our eye. We all have experienced the feeling of being watched, we just don’t realize where it’s coming from.
I often help in these situations because I know from experience that we are not dealing with a dark entity. Once the parents and child understand what they are seeing and feeling, the atmosphere changes back to a happy and loving space.
